Events outside the selected operation remain in the low-level timeline. Downloading before any edit returns the exact source bytes.
Drop the export into a DAW
- Download the edited file. The name starts with editmidi- so it is easy to spot in a DAW project.
- In FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic, create or open a MIDI track and import that .mid onto the clip or arrangement.
- Audition the destination instrument. MIDI is instructions, so the sound comes from the synth you attach in the DAW.
Change MIDI key by semitones
Choose an integer from -48 to +48 semitones, apply the transpose, and preview the new range before downloading. The operation moves note-on and matching note-off pitches across every track while leaving note timing unchanged.
MIDI notes cannot go below 0 or above 127, so pitches that cross those boundaries are clamped. Review very low bass parts and very high lead parts after a large interval change.
Keep drum mapping unchanged by default
Channel 10 uses zero-based channel 9 in the file and commonly carries percussion mappings rather than pitched instruments. The transpose tool excludes that channel by default. Enable Include drum channel 10 only when the file uses that channel for pitched material or you intentionally want to remap percussion notes.
Preview, undo, and export a separate file
Tempo events, controllers, programs, pitch bend, track order, and event timing stay in place. One Undo restores the complete state before the transpose. Download creates a separate MIDI file so your original source remains available for comparison.
